Immersive 3D Reconstruction
Photo-realistic 3D models of buildings, terrain, and job sites generated from aerial imagery. Interactive digital twins for construction documentation, real estate marketing, historical preservation, and engineering analysis.
A photograph shows you a moment from one angle. A 3D model lets you explore a structure or site from every direction, zoom into details, measure distances, and share an immersive experience with anyone who has a web browser. Photogrammetry — the science of extracting three-dimensional data from overlapping photographs — makes this possible from standard drone imagery.
Our DJI Mavic 4 Pro captures hundreds of overlapping images from multiple altitudes and angles using its triple-camera system. These images are processed through advanced photogrammetry software to reconstruct a complete, textured 3D model of the subject. The resulting digital twin is geometrically accurate and visually realistic, suitable for measurement, inspection, and presentation.
From a historic adobe building in Tombstone that needs to be documented before restoration, to a commercial development site where stakeholders need a virtual walkthrough, to a construction project where you need to compare as-built conditions against design plans — 3D photogrammetry delivers understanding that flat imagery cannot.
Every engagement is tailored to your objectives. Here is what you can expect.
Full-color, photo-realistic 3D models that capture the geometry and visual appearance of structures and terrain. Models can be viewed interactively in a web browser, imported into CAD software, or embedded into presentations and marketing materials.
Millions of precisely positioned 3D points that represent the surface geometry of the captured area. Point clouds serve as the foundation for measurement, analysis, and further modeling in engineering and architectural applications.
Web-based 3D viewers that allow clients, investors, and stakeholders to explore a site remotely. Rotate, zoom, and fly through the model from any device without installing specialized software.
Accurate measurements extracted directly from the 3D model — distances, areas, volumes, and elevations. Reduce the need for repeated site visits by measuring what you need from the digital twin on your desktop.
Repeat captures at different project stages allow precise comparison of how a site changes over time. Overlay models to visualize construction progress, erosion, settlement, or renovation work with quantifiable data.
Our telephoto cameras (70mm and 168mm) capture fine architectural details — stonework, signage, roofing materials, and structural elements — that wide-angle cameras miss. The result is a model with exceptional surface detail on vertical faces.
From consultation to final delivery, every project follows a proven workflow.
We evaluate the subject — its size, complexity, surrounding obstacles, and your intended use of the model. We design a multi-pass flight plan that ensures complete coverage including oblique angles for wall and facade detail.
Our pilot executes a systematic capture mission that includes nadir (straight-down) passes at multiple altitudes and oblique (angled) passes around the perimeter of the subject. For complex structures, we capture 500 or more individual images to ensure full coverage.
Imagery is aligned, a dense point cloud is generated, and a textured 3D mesh is built through photogrammetric processing. The model is cleaned, optimized, and prepared in the formats you need. Processing time varies from hours to days depending on site complexity.
Models are delivered in industry-standard formats and can include interactive web viewers for easy sharing. We provide guidance on integration with your CAD, BIM, or GIS platform and can create custom presentations or fly-through videos from the model.
A 3D model captures more than photographs ever can. Contact Stronghold Precision Aerials to discuss how photogrammetry can serve your project, whether it is a single structure or an entire development site.
