Where these links appear, and where they do not
This matters more than the disclosure itself, so it goes first.
We are a drone services company. Our clients are realtors, growers, contractors and asset owners, and they are not shopping for equipment — so there are no affiliate links on any service page, on the pricing page, or on any article aimed at someone deciding whether to hire us. Not fewer. None.
The exception is the airspace and regulation articles. Those pull a genuinely different readership: other Part 107 operators, hobbyists, and photographers passing through who want to know where they can and cannot fly in this county. That audience is never going to become a client, and it does buy equipment. Those articles carry a gear block at the foot, clearly marked, listing what we actually fly with.
The rules we hold ourselves to
- Only equipment that is in our own case. Nothing is listed because it pays better than the alternative.
- We say what a thing is for and what it is not. A recommendation with no limitation in it is an advertisement.
- We never link to something in place of doing the work. If the honest answer to a reader is “hire somebody, this is not a gear problem,” that is what the article says.
- No prices, no star ratings. Amazon’s program terms only permit those when served live from Amazon, and a number typed into a page by hand is out of date within weeks. Check the current price on the product page.
- Links go straight to Amazon. No redirect service, no cloaking, nothing that hides where you are about to land. The destination is visible in your browser before you click.
- Safety items are not upsold. The battery bags and the strobe are on the list because leaving them off would be irresponsible, not because they are lucrative. They are not.
What this does not affect
None of the writing on this site is shaped by what pays. The airspace restriction articles exist because the pages currently answering those questions repeat two Arizona rules that were removed from the bill before it was enacted, and because a federal citation is a bad way to find that out. That is the point of them. The gear block at the foot is a footnote to it.
If you would rather not send us a commission, search the product name on Amazon yourself. No hard feelings, and the recommendation is the same either way.
